These positions are starting in the summer of 2008 and provide up to $30K/year stipends plus full tuition waiver. 3D Vitual Environment Designers. The VITAL Lab is taking applications for part-time 3D vitual environment designers. Applicants should be current Ohio University under-graduate or graduate students with the ability and desire to create 3D virtual environments in the Second Life Virtual World. Computer Science Graduate Research Assistantships. The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (http://www.ohio.edu/eecs/) at Ohio University is seeking qualified applicants for several graduate research assistantships (RA) available immediately. In particular, the VITAL (Virtual Immersive Technology and Arts for Learning) Lab (http://vital.cs.ohiou.edu) is seeking candidates with a strong background in software engineering, computer graphics, 3-D virtual environment design, game development, 3-D simulations, or educational technologies.
