Credit Union Game Instructions

Game Instructions:

First Find the Credit Union HUD in your inventory, right click and select 'wear'.

Select 'Start Game' to begin playing.

Select 'More Info' to see detailed information during game play. Click again to hide the information.

Use the '<<', '||', and '>>' to slow down, pause, or fast forward the game, respectively.

The HUD (Heads Up Display) also shows your current Cash balance, your Happiness, your Age, and the current speed of the game.

Game Goals:

You will need to buy a car, choose your education level, and find a place to live. These choices affect your income, debt, and credit score. You can also invest to save money for retirement.

To do these tasks, you must go to different parts of the island.

How to buy a Car:

To buy a car, you will need to find the car dealership. At this location you can click on any vehicle to find information about it and choose to buy it or not. Once you choose your vehicle, it will 'appear' at the dealership and you can drive it around the island for as long as you are here.

You can change vehicles later by selecting a different one from the dealership.

How to buy/rent a House:

When you need to find a place to live, you will need to find the housing development. You can select the 'For Sale/Rent' signs to receive information on the home. You can then choose to rent or buy the home.

You can select the sign again to move/sell the home, and select another to live in later in life.

How to Invest for retirement:

You will need to find the bank, and look for a sign describing 401K investments. Once there you can click the sign and choose how much of your pay to invest.

Credit Score:

Your credit score is similar to what you would expect in the real world. It is based on your punctuality of payments (you miss payments when your income is low compared to your bills), revolving debt (credit cards), length of credit history, type of credit, and recent activity. Your score is displayed in your HUD and will change throughout gameplay based on your decisions.
